The Girl Behind the Red Rope was the first book that I read from the author. I am not sure what I expected and was conflicted. The theme of the book is darkness versus light- we as Christians are the light of the world and darkness can not exist in the light. In a world where the boundaries are clear and punishments are severe, a young woman risks everything to break free from the system of fear and control to find freedom and love. If we have a relationship with Jesus, we have salvation and hope not fear. I thought of the red rope and what it symbolizes for those who might be on the wrong side. Are you willing to choose love over fear?
