A Love So True is beautifully written and reminds us that there is compassion regardless of what others do. This is the second book in the Teaville Moral Society series. I thoughly enjoyed reading the book and found it hard to put down once I started reading it.
Evelyn has a huge heart for women and children of the Red Light district. Her desire is to buld a home that these women can call their own. (My heart ached for those for felt they needed to prostitute themselves out.) No one wants to support this endeavor. If Evelyn can not convince local businesses to support and help financially, her dream may not happen.
David Kingsman is in Teaville to get his father’s business, A.K. Glass back on solid ground. His plan is to only stay in Teaville for a short time, that is until he meets Evelyn. He finds himself dropping in at the orphanage just to talk to Evelyn. Both David and Evelyn experience the same things we all do: second chances, joy and heartache. A common theme throughout the book was that Jesus forgives us regardless of what we think or the mistakes we make. Can they both trust God’s plan despite what may be stacked againist them?
